Notes
The investigator selected the most useful measurements for MPD accessioning. Supplemental data set includes scores for hanging or falling from the balance beam, raw misstep data, and grid data from 5-min intervals.

An investigation of the genetic determinants of ethanol sensitivity and intoxication. Animals were assayed for motor and/or behavioral incoordination following saline administration in control vs. ethanol treated mice using balance beam and grid test apparatus. Four i.p. treatment group cohorts: (1) saline; (2) ethanol 1.0 mg/kg body weight; (3) ethanol 1.2 mg/kg; (4) ethanol 1.4 mg/kg.

Procedures conducted:
• balance beam  Ethanol i.p. (several doses) vs. control (saline). Missteps count. 3 beam lengths.
• grid test  Ethanol injection (several doses) vs. control (saline). Grid habituation, missteps rate.
• body weight
