Replicability analysis

MPD is collaborating with the group cited below at Tel Aviv University to assess replicability in mouse phenotyping, utilizing a statistical approach that treats laboratory as a random variable and measures the effect of the interaction between experimental group and laboratory.

To use the GxL Replicability Analysis tool:
  1. You must first register or sign in. Click on ‘MyMPD’ in the top right corner of the webpage and select ‘Sign in / Register’ and follow the prompts.
  2. For GxL Replicability Analysis, search or browse to select at least three measures of interest from different laboratories as your reference measures. Measures should assess the same phenotype (e.g., distance traveled in open field arena) although the protocols may differ somewhat (e.g., different sized arenas).
  3. To select your reference measures, click on the checkboxes next to your measures of interest. Then click on ‘Work with selected measures’ below the list of measures and add selected measures to your collection (MyMPD).
  4. Once you have selected your reference measures, go to ‘MyMPD’ in the top right corner of the webpage and select ‘My Collection’. You will see your selected measures listed and MPD analysis tools below.
  5. Click on the ‘GxL Replicability Analysis’ button and follow the step-by-step instructions.

Tip: Use the ‘Compare Measure Metadata’ tool to help you choose measures appropriately. See important metadata about each of your selected measures in a side-by-side comparison.

To simply try the tool without signing in or registering, go to our Tools Demo page. Select the measures 36007, 64705, 65001 and click on the "GxL Replicability Analysis" button. Follow instructions within the tool.
