Rating scales for difficulty in capturing and holding mice were
devised to provide an impression of the difficulties encountered
in working with various strains of mice.
This study was conducted on the same set of mice tested for several behavioral parameters and examined for brain defects (Wahlsten1).
Missing data code clarifications:
DI = died; always occurred in home cage in colony room, never during the actual test
ND = no data; almost always occurred because technician failed to record rating
PP = physical problem; for strain C58/J, trial was stopped when they sank in water maze
OT = other; average undefined because of missing values
Procedures conducted:
