Acclimation testing periods

Vendor
Male mice were obtained from The Jackson Laboratory (JAX®, Bar Harbor, ME), and shipped by air at 4–7 wks of age.

Acclimation
Mice were acclimated to the vivarium for at least 1 wk prior to testing or surgery at 7–10 wks of age.

ad libitum (Harlan Teklad Laboratory Diet)

Water
ad libitum

Housing
Mice were housed with in groups of four or less

Photoperiod
12 light 12 dark cycle (lights on at 07:00 h)

Temperature
22 ±1 °C
