Vendor Mice were obtained at 5-6 wks of age from The Jackson Laboratory JAX® (Bar Harbor, ME) 3 wks in conventional, non-barrier facility at Oregon Health and Science University, Portland Oregon, USA 8-15 wks Purina 5001 bought locally; ad libitum Tap; ad libitum 2-4 mice per cage (polycarbonate or polysulfone cage) 1/4" Bed-o-cob 12 h light (on from 0600 to 1800), 12 h dark 22 ± 2.0°C Mice were reported in excellent health
