An investigation of anxiety response. In the maze, quadrants 1 and 3 were closed while quadrants 2 and 4 were open. The following were taken as indicators of general anxiety: latency to enter an open quadrant; time in each of the quadrants; total time spent in open and in closed quadrants; activity in the two closed quadrants; and number of fecal boli.

Procedures conducted:
• elevated zero maze  Anxiety-related behaviors.
