Equipment, software, and supplies

  • Open field chamber, 52 x 52 x 23 cm; floor is PVC plastic and walls are gray PVC plastic; 600 lux
  • Actimetrics LimeLight software

Reagents and solutions

  • Dilute Quatricide solution, for cleaning chamber (Pharmacal Research Labs)

Steps

  1. Mice are acclimated to test room for 30-45 min prior to testing.
  2. Activity is measured for 10 min and recorded; mice are allowed to explore for a total of 55 min.
