The analysis unit for this project is strain / sex / age group (where age group is either "young" or "old"). Strain / sex / age groups having less than 5 animals have been omitted from the MPD data set.

Four ABR threshold measurements were taken per mouse, in response to four different audible sounds. The first measurement was for a click; the second for an 8kHz pip; the third for a 16kHz pip; the fourth for a 32kHz pip. The results are presented here broken down by mouse age. Early (young group) onset of hearing impairment occurs at age < 13 weeks. Later (old group) onset of hearing impairment occurs at age ≥ 13 weeks.
