"Resistant" is defined as cells that show greater than 90% viability when incubated 4 hr with lethal factor (LF; 10 micrograms/milliliter) and protective antigen (PA; 1 microgram/milliliter). "Susceptible" is defined as cells that show less than 10% viability under the same conditions.
