This study assessed the phenotypic consequences of TMEV infection in 5 CC strains of mice. Outcomes of long-term infection (3 mo) and acute vs. early chronic infection (7 vs. 28 d post infection) were evaluated using neurological and behavioral phenotyping tests along with body weight and clinical scores. Data for mock infected mice are in a supplemental data download file.

Experimental groups in this study:
• None     • None

Procedures conducted:
• body weight
• health assessment  Clinical health assessment scores, TMEV infection.
• RNA expression profiling  TMEV transcript abundance.
• open field test  Locomotor activity, TMEV infection.
• gait analysis  DigiGait analysis and footprint analysis, TMEV infection.
• rotarod  Latency to fall from accelerating rotarod, TMEV infection.
